Art and Angourie

Art and Angourie!

A couple of years ago I decided to explore the eastcoast of Australia with my surfboard. Without planes, just days after my final exam, I hopped on a plane and ended up on the other side of the world. All alone, free! That feeling.

I spent that whole summer surfing spots all the way from Agnes Waters down to Angourie. After a couple of weeks surfing I found home in Angourie and ending up living there for the rest of the time at my new found friends surfer house. With kangaroos in my garden, sharing the waters with dolphins, turtles, whales, sharks, and some of the best surfers in the world, at the most amazing pointbreak, I had the time of my life.

I remember taking the decision to go to Australia. Sitting in the car on the way to the town of my university with my beautiful mum, thinking, I just want to go surfing and I want to travel as far away as I can. I said it out loud and from then on it was absolute. I was going and nothing could stop me.

I am so lucky having a family that is letting me do my own things. And, I am so grateful for the life long friends I’m finding on my journeys.

Next to the surf house I stayed at was the summer mansion of the Billabong owner. Here is a clip I want to show you that the brand made. Amazing artwork made by Felicity Palmateer and the place I lived.
