Tuning in!
Catching up with a lifetime might take forever so lets do a quick briefing.
I am a 24 year old(young) girl brought up in Sweden! With a Swedish mother and a dad from New Zealand I started travelling the world as a new born. Together with my mum, dad and two amazing sisters we have experienced heaps of adventures.
Growing up I started playing the cello and spent a lot of time at the local music school. With help of my truly amazing teacher Torbjörn Rapp I made the audition for a highly rated music university. The plan was to become a concert cellist but after a while I made a change and started lawschool. At the moment I am doing my post-graduate studies in law with the aim to graduate in January 2017.
Besides the cello playing I also spent a lot of time sailing. I spent many years at the local sailing club and became a sailing instructor arranging courses both for children, teenagers and adults.
When I graduated from the “mandatory” school I started traveling without my family. As a complement to my studies I’ve worked as a waitress, receptionist, substitute teacher and so on to save money and go travelling during my breaks. Ever since 2011 the trips goes to surfdestinations such as France, Morocco, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Norway and so on. I also discovered that summer breaks were perfect to go abroad so the past five summers has been dedicated to travels, surf, work and hiking. One summer I lived in a car and surfed the French eastcoast, the other year I spent surfing in Australia and the two past years I lived on a stunning island in Lofoten Norway hiking mountains and working at a cute fish restaurant. The last year I left Lofoten earlier to go to Africa with my family and later that year I moved to New Zealand.
In the beginning of this year I moved to Bergen in Norway on exchange. I studied really interesting courses of law, went climbing twice a week, went flatting with three amazing Norwegian girls, once again got to experience the northern lights and did a lot of hiking and tenting in the mountains.
On the way I picked up skydiving and climbing so yeah, at the moment my biggest interests are surfing, skydiving and climbing.
So where am I right now?
Well, June was dedicated for skydive, my sisters graduation and family back in Sweden. July and August is dedicated for work up the mountains in Norway called Gaustatoppen, where I am currently living. The plan is to get some skydiving in at the end of summer and then focus on the studies and the surfing maybe with some additional climbing.
My aim is to create a balanced life.
Even though it might sound pretty intense and I still get overly stoked by a good wave or jumping out a plane my secret is being clam, true to myself and keeping the feet on the ground. One moment I might enjoy the harsh nature but since I after all am Swedish, it is hard to beat an adding of a good “fika”!
